ABOUT THE MOM AND ME VIRTUAL DANCE CLASS The Mom and Me Virtual Dance Class is a family-friendly youth fitness and emotions expression class. It uses dance and discussion to improve physical and mental health and enhance connections between family members. Lasting 40 minutes, the virtual dance class includes choreographed dance and family bonding activities – plus, it only costs $15.99! WHAT DOES THE MOM AND ME VIRTUAL DANCE CLASS INVOLVE? Our virtual dance class aligns with the Cool Moms Dance Too! values of respect, support and kindness. More specifically, it is made up of the following 3 key components: 1. Hip-Hop Dance Fitness During the virtual class, we play non-explicit, family-friendly hip-hop music that children and adults alike can enjoy. This helps both parties find a commonality through upbeat music, which is then expressed through movement and dance. 2. Social Emotional Learning The competencies of self-awareness and self-management are rooted in the body, making dance a perfect way to build upon them. During our virtual class, you and your children can develop emotional intelligence, self-perception and impulse control. 3. Dance Movement Therapy Here at Cool Moms Dance Too!, we incorporate activities that are based upon dance movement therapy. We use dance as a tool to support emotional expression in a safe space, as opening up verbally about feelings can often be difficult.
